The Yamaha LXF450USA is a 450hp XTO Offshore four-stroke outboard with Digital Electronic Controls (DEC), integrated electric steering, electric start, power trim and tilt, counter rotation for twin installs, and a 30" ultra long shaft, weighing 988 lbs. Built for large offshore boats in multi-engine setups. As an authorized Yamaha dealer, Boat Specialists sells it new with the full Yamaha 3-year factory warranty, after our factory-qualified technicians test-run it.
Yamaha's 5.6-liter V8 XTO Offshore is built from the ground up for offshore power, efficiency and reliability. It has a direct-injection four-stroke powerhead with a 12.2:1 compression ratio, integrated all-electric steering and an award-winning charging system, making it a fully integrated power system for large offshore boats.
Yamaha LXF450USA Key Features
Thrust-Enhancing Reverse Exhaust: For more control at lower speeds and increased precision of our Helm Master® EX boat control system, exhaust is diverted away from the propeller at RPMs below 2,500.
Pump Stop Power Tilt Limit: The tilt pump shuts off when it reaches maximum tilt setting, rather than continuing to run, saving power and reducing noise at full trim in/out.
Wide-Span Mounting System: For minimized vibration and a more compact design, incredibly strong upper motor mounts placed wide on the exterior of the upper mid-section work in conjunction with our Long Span Mounting System.
Phase Angle Control Charging: The XTO’s NEW Phase Angle Control Charging System meets the extreme electrical needs of today’s larger boats. This Innovation Award-winning new system produces up to 96 amps of net charging power at idle—from a single outboard—and up to 480 net amps in a quint configuration. This is up to 65 percent more maximum net charge at idle than the previous XTO model.

$660 Dealer Engine Prep - Our factory-qualified technicians perform a full test run of your new outboard by unpacking it and connecting it to the rigging, fuel, battery, and a diagnostic computer. We run the motor up to operating temperature and test every function to make sure your new motor is working just as it should. The manufacturer's required inspection checklist is completed and submitted to the manufacturer to validate the warranty.

Do I need a short or long shaft?
Measure your transom from the top edge straight down to the bottom of the hull: about 15" calls for a short shaft, 20" for a long shaft, 25" for an extra-long shaft, and 30" for an ultra-long shaft.
