The Tohatsu MFS9.9EEFTL is a 9.9hp four-stroke outboard with tiller steering, electric start with a manual backup, power tilt, and a 20" long shaft, weighing 118 lbs. A good match for inflatables, jon boats, small aluminum boats and sailboats, or as a kicker on a larger boat. The 9.9hp EFI Sport is the lightest outboard in its class, with exceptional torque and top-end speed. Its battery-less EFI starts easily with no choke and accelerates smoothly through the rev range, and it is so efficient at wide-open throttle that it can go up to 50% farther on less fuel than the competition. Power tilt models also come with a 4-blade high-thrust propeller.

Do I need a short or long shaft?
